Albert Connette

Albert was called to Olivet in 1996 having previously served churches in Front Royal and Waynesboro, VA and as a Volunteer in Mission in Costa Rica. He is a native of Wilmington, NC and graduated from Davidson College in NC and Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, VA. Remarried in 2010, his wife, Charlotte Matthews, is a poet and teacher at UVA. He has two children, Grant and Sarah, and two step-children, Emma and Garland. He is currently renovating an older home in Crozet where he gets to employ skills acquired on home-repair mission trips and Habitat house construction. He enjoys birding, gardening, hiking and river float fishing trips.

Seth Lovell

Newly Ordained and Called as Associate Pastor for Youth and Family Ministry, Seth began serving as Olivet's Director of Youth Ministries in 2010. He was born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley, graduated from James Madison University, and is a recent graduate of Union Presbyterian Seminary. Seth served six years in the Virginia Army National Guard, including a year in Afghanistan and a year in Iraq. Before coming to Olivet, he served as a youth adviser and member of the Session at Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church in Fishersville, VA, and spent summers on the staff of the Massanetta Springs Middle-School Conference.

Seth is an avid sports fan, having coached high school basketball and tennis, and loves following UVA sports and Baltimore Ravens football.

He married his high-school sweetheart, Brittany, in 2007. Brittany is a nurse at UVA Student Health Center. Together, they have two daughters, Kylie and Norah, and a son, Asher. They love traveling, hiking, and rooting for their favorite sports teams together.

Kelly Kaufman

Kelly Kaufman is our Parish Associate for Children's Ministries.  The Reverend Kelly Kaufman began her work in ministry a little over 16 years ago serving as the Director of Christian Education at a church in Waynesboro. She is a graduate of Mary Baldwin College, now Mary Baldwin University and has a Masters in Divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.  Before ordination, she served three churches, two as the Director for Christian Education and one as the Director for Youth Ministry.  Ordained in 2008, she has served two churches in Virginia as the Associate Pastor of Christian Education at a very large church and Solo Pastor at a very small church.  Recently Kelly was the Interim Director of Programs at Massanetta Springs Camp and Conference Center.  In 2016 Kelly joined the staff at GenOn Ministries as the Community Outreach Coordinator. Throughout her ministry she has spoken at youth retreats, provided leadership at the Massanetta Middle School Conference, led various training events, and has led workshops (and preached) at many Presbyterian Women gatherings.  Her favorite call is taking care of her family.  Kelly and her husband Evan reside in Charlottesville, VA. They have one son (5), Calvin (not named for John Calvin, but we love the humor of it!!), and a baby girl, Maggie Joy. 

Dale Dealtrey

Dale Dealtrey

A graduate of Hollins College and Duke Divinity School, Dale moved to the Free Union area after a 30-year career serving churches in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Having led worship at Olivet on a number of occasions as visiting liturgist or preacher, the congregaton welcomed Dale as a part-time parish asssociate in 2013. Dale’s responsibilities include developing ministries with new members, inactive members, and members experiencing a life transition, as well as pastoral care and worship leadership.

Emily Rosson

Emily joined the staff at Olivet as the half-time Administrative Assistant in August of 2016, but she has enjoyed worshiping with us at our Thanksgiving Community Service for several years as a member and the Minister of Music at Ivy Creek United Methodist Church.  She has been teaching music for over 25 years, and is currently the orchestra director at Village School.  Emily and her husband, Doug live in northern Albemarle with their three sons, Andrew, Harrison and Jackson.  She enjoys scratching her golden, Gryffin, behind the ears, directing her church choir, having someone else do the cooking, and listening to her boys play and sing.  Emily is in the office Tuesdays, Wednesday mornings, Thursdays and Fridays.

Robin Servine

Robin Servine is our Director of Communications and works part time in the office on Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesdays.  She graduated from Auburn University with a BS in Marketing.  Robin and her husband, Dirk, live in Ivy with their three daughters, Molly, Sarah and Jane.

Ms. Rebecca

Rebecca began her work as the Olivet Preschool Director in March 2017. Rebecca is a native of the Charlottesville area and holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from JMU.  Prior to coming to Olivet, Rebecca worked for nearly a decade with ESOL and GED students in the Albemarle County Adult Education program.  Rebecca loves UVA sports, music and dancing, and spending time with her daughters, Anna and Emma, and husband, Colin.
