Good Friday Worship Service

The Olivet Chancel Choir, accompanied by Sonja Dillard, violinist, will offer “In Calvary’s Shadow: A Tenebrae Service” by Victor Johnson on Good Friday, April 14, at 7:00pm in the sanctuary. This service invites all to experience Jesus’ journey from betrayal through crucifixion through scripture readings, vocal solos, congregational singing, spirituals, and gospel hymns. Central to both the title and the liturgy is the ritual extinguishing of seven candles to darkness allowing for quiet meditation “in Calvary’s shadow.”
