Youth Sunday School

The Mid-High Sunday School Class, grades 6-8, meets with Gary and Camille Hatter and uses Encounter Curriculum, which is a Bible-based, culturally relevant, and personally challenging teen Sunday school curriculum. The middle school group examines in depth both the Old and New Testaments.

The Confirmation of Faith Program is taught during the 9th grade year. This class is taught by Seth Lovell, Ruffin King, Amy Effland, and Cheryl Wetmore-Simpson. The curriculum is a blend of resources from the PC(USA) and RE:FORM Curriculum.

Senior-High Sunday School is for high school youth in grades 10-12 and is taught by Mark and Cynthia Lorenzoni. The Lorenzonis combine scripture and popular media to engage the youth in important discussions about issues affecting high school youth and how to live out their faith.

Children and Youth Sunday School Classes

Sunday School classes for children and youth meet from 9:45 until 10:45 every Sunday from September-May. As part of Olivet's Bibles for Life Program, the Christian Education Committee gifts 1st, 5th and 9th graders with new Bibles to read at home and to bring to church. High School graduates are presented with a devotional book each May. Sunday School is where children and leaders learn to know our living God, grow in vibrant faith, and show God’s love to others. For Pre-K - 5th grade, the curriculum used to nuture children as they develop into faith filled disciples is, Walk with Me, from Faith Alive Christian Resources.
