"They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” (Acts 2:42)
This verse gives us a glimpse into the lifestyle of the early Christian church, what was important to them, and how they spent their time. It is also foundational for our midweek ministry, Kids’ Connection. As we prioritize our lives and seek balance in today’s "do it all, have it all" society, may we too devote ourselves to living faith filled lives in community with one another.
Kids' Connection (KC) is offered at Olivet for two eight-week sessions in fall and spring. KC uses the LOGOS Ministry design and theology which is part of GenOn Ministries. Each week children experience Worship Skills, Bible Study and Recreation/Mission and Family Time Dinner while building Christian relationships with peers and adults that last a lifetime. Registration occurs at the Parents' Meetings before each session. Volunteers are needed. Contact Betsy Dishman for information, firstname.lastname@example.org.
KC’s Bible leader, Kelly Kaufman, serves as GenOn’s Community Outreach Coordinator. Read more about her ministry here.
GenOn’s free bi-monthly e-newsletter includes insights, articles and announcements about developing lifelong disciples through intergenerational experiences. Hear from local LOGOS leaders, parents, pastors, and intergenerational experts.
